Creatio is the Latin word for "creation." As artists and makers, we create because we were first created by God. The conference exists to encourage artists, cultivate creativity, and explore how our lives and work can contribute to the flourishing of our churches, communities, and world.

Creatio is for artists, artisans, creative leaders, pastors, worship leaders, students, and anyone interested in exploring the intersection of creativity, faith, formation, and culture. Whether you are a beginner, hobbyist, student, professional artist, or ministry leader, you are welcome.

Creatio is an intergenerational conference designed for artists and creatives of all ages and stages. While the content is geared primarily toward teens and adults, younger artists are welcome to attend with a parent or guardian if they are interested in the arts and able to participate in the conference experience.

Creatio is designed for artists and creatives of all kinds. From musicians, visual artists, writers, actors, dancers, and filmmakers to designers, makers, educators, artisans, and creative professionals, we welcome people from a wide range of disciplines and backgrounds. Our hope is to create a space where creatives can learn from one another, be encouraged in their calling, and explore how creativity can enrich their lives, communities, and work.

Absolutely. Creatio is hosted from a Christian perspective, but anyone interested in creativity, art, and meaningful conversation is welcome to attend.

Registration includes access to all plenary sessions, workshops, artist exhibits, networking opportunities, snacks and lunch.

Yes. Lunch is included with your registration, and snacks and refreshments will be available throughout the day.

Workshops & Schedule

The conference will feature 11 workshops offered across two workshop periods. This means that participants may attend up to two workshops during the day. Since each workshop will be repeated, you will have the flexibility to explore the sessions that most interest you and adjust your choices as the day unfolds.

No. Workshop registration is not required in advance. You will be able to choose which workshops you would like to attend on the day of the conference.

We are currently exploring options for recording conference sessions. More information will be shared as plans are finalized.
Artists & Exhibits

Yes. Creatio will feature an Artist & Resource Showcase where participants can explore artwork, connect with organizations, and meet fellow creatives from across New England. Space is limited and filling quickly, so if you are interested in showcasing your work, we encourage you to reach out soon. You can email arts@walnuthillcc.org.

At this time, Creatio is not offering opportunities for direct sales for conference attendees. However, artists are encouraged to share contact information, websites, and social media accounts alongside their work so attendees can connect with them, follow their work, and explore future opportunities.
